One of the topics we’ve been asked to talk about is fearlessness and how we can live a passionate and fearless life. Our question is; is it possible to live a fearless life?

The F Word

It’s interesting that what most want is fearlessness and yet, fear is what they fear the most. Let’s take it back to the beginning when one was still a baby. According to Dr. Cole from, “Fear is not an instinct, it is something that babies learn as they develop a memory.”

It all goes back to what’s familiar and once something becomes “strange” or out of the norm, this is what develops fear. So ask yourself – what are the things or triggers in your life that creates the feeling of fear? Do you associate specific situations, things or people that create this fear?

Fear; re-defined.

It’s different for each person yet the same. There are the more common types of fear – a fear of spiders or bugs, a fear of heights, a fear of the dark. Do you know the most common type of fear is? Some people may think that it’s dying. Statistics have shown that glossophobia, which is the fear of public speaking is the number one fear that people have. Greater than the fear of dying!

“Courage Dear Heart” – C.S. Lewis

When we think of a life of being fearless, what we’re really talking about here turns into courage. By being courageous, you are making the conscious choice to face your fear and work through it which then transforms it to fearlessness when you face the same fear again, you already know which tools in your arsenal you have that you can use to work through it.

The Good News

Fear not (pun intended)! The good news about fear is that it’s normal. Everyone fears something and it’s a part of life. However, the even better news is that it’s possible for you to change your mindset about it. By having the proper support system and the drive to overcome your fears, it’s a work in progress that will bring a heightened awareness to your whole personal development journey. Are you still afraid? Read on.

No Fear = Perfect?

No. The absence of fear doesn’t mean that things will be perfect. You may think that’s not ideal but I challenge you to look at it this way. If you are living a life where fear (a little bit of healthy fear!) isn’t present, then how can you exercise courage and grow from the experience? The entire experience of life and your entire being is made up of many different emotions. The difference is, we have to be aware of what those emotions are and how we can work through them to customize the effect on our lives.

Hello to our Inner Wisdom Community! We’re so glad that you had stopped by to check out our blog. We want you to know that this is where you’ll find our monthly updates and news as well as different topics that we’re discussing.

Now that fall is upon us and the year is coming to an end, it’s a great time to reflect on the year and look forward to what is to come in the new year. As we wrap the year and get our goals ready we have some tips that can help you through the theme of our month: Reflection.

Tip # 1 – Focus on what matters

Sometimes this is easier said than done as we’re humans after all! The most successful way we can apply this is to realize how we can do a little bit of this in our daily routine. As an example, perhaps focus on the things you are grateful for rather than what went wrong in your day. By shifting the focus on what resonates with your core values, it helps shift your perspective into the positive side.

Tip # 2 – Keep it simple

Have you ever been in a situation where you were over thinking it? Perhaps this is an important decision and there’s a lot of risk involved or maybe something that you are working on to get better at – a skill, a way of life or changing up those patterns we often develop. It’s best to keep it simple – think about the route you can take that is the least complicated but will produce the desired result. By lessening the noise of that inner saboteur, you’re able to subtract the baggage and carry on with love and light to your goal.

Tip # 3 – When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Often at times of reflection that bucket list comes up and gives a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out!). So let’s ask you this, when was the last time you did something for the first time? We’re not suggesting you drop everything and climb Mt. Everest if that’s on your bucket list! We know that without proper training your success rate in finishing the Iron Man tomorrow or the next day is not as good as someone who trained for a few months but what we mean is what is something that you have been putting off? Are you fearful of the results – either good or bad?

We hope that some of these tools can help guide you in your reflection journey. It’s a different road for everyone but we’re in this together – we hope that we all make it to our desired path and goals!

We want to know… what are some of the things that you’re reflecting on? What are some of the roadblocks you are facing? We’re here to help!
